Attendance and Dismissal

Arrival

Arrival  Procedures:

All students will enter through the school yard doors in the back of the school. The doors open at 8:15am. There is no supervision of children before 8:15am. Students will have breakfast in their classrooms. No parents are permitted into the school to walk children to class.

• Kindergarten will enter through the kindergarten doors at the front of the school 8:15am.
• First and Second Grade will enter through the schoolyard doors that lead to the cafeteria at 8:15am
• Third through Eighth Grade will enter through back school yard doors and walk straight to the second floor at 8:15am.

THE ARRIVAL PROCEDURES ARE THE SAME ALL YEAR. WHEN IT IS RAINING, COLD OR SNOWING THE SCHOOL DOORS OPEN AT 8:15. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ADULT SUPERVISION BEFORE THIS TIME. PLEASE DO NOT DROP YOUR CHILD OFF BEFORE 8:15.

Dismissal

Dismissal Procedures:

All 1-8th grade students will be dismissed from the doors in the school yard closest to 15th St.  1st through 3rd will be dismissed first then the older students.  Teachers will walk outside with their students.

Kindergarten students will be dismissed from designated areas in the front of the school and they must be signed out.

All students but be picked up by 2:54pm.  The SRO, or designated personnel will escort students not picked-up to the office to make a phone call home.

All students are to leave the school at the end of the school day.  Students may not go home and return to school or walk to the store and return to school.  Students staying for after school activities must report immediately to their assigned location.
